Ulhasnagar – On Tuesday evening, a young man was caught with a sharp weapon at Prabhat Garden, located in Ulhasnagar Camp Five. This caused quite a stir in the garden for a while. According to the information received, around 6:30 pm, the security guard posted at the garden by Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation.
Prahlad Raut saw three to four young men hanging around suspiciously.These guys were also bothering people who came to the garden, which made the atmosphere tense. Around the same time, social worker Shankar Dawani arrived at the scene. Shankar Dawani is known to be close to Deputy Mayor Amar Lund. Seeing the suspicious behavior of the youths, he immediately informed the police helpline. As soon as the police received the info, a team arrived at the spot and took the young men into custody. During a search, the police found a large weapon with them. Regarding this, the police process to file a case against the accused at the Hill Line police station has been started.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Amar Lund, who is in Mumbai for a scheduled meeting with the Chief Minister on Tuesday evening, shared information over the phone. He said the arrested youth are not from Ulhasnagar but residents of Goregaon area in Mumbai. He also mentioned that the youths were under the influence of drugs at the time of arrest. He has discussed the matter with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, and necessary action is being taken by the police.
