Gorakhpur Express : A recent incident in the Gorakhpur Express has again raised the question of whether women can feel safe in the train. According to reports, the unfortunate incident happened due to the lack of a ticket on the train from the NCC cadet returning after taking an exam in which she could not get a ticket due to the crowd and later had to face several disturbing situations.
The sequence of events what is being reported.It is being told that the victim was an NCC cadet who was returning after taking the exam.She couldn’t get a ticket because of the crowd.The TT (ticket examiner) was told to “come to the cabin, I’ll tell you the seat” and he was called in and the door was locked.When he protested, the TT threatened him with action without a ticket.The victim did not give up and immediately called 112 and informed the police.Fearing the police, the accused (according to reports) jumped from the moving train at Deoria station and fled.It is being told that the accused belongs to Vanarasi (Varanasi) division and he is absconding; The police have also offered a reward for catching him (according to reports) the Victim’s Courage and Quick Action.
