Kalyan : In a significant breakthrough, police in Kalyan have arrested a man accused of stealing motorcycles from different parts of the city. The accused, identified as Shahrukh Hussain, was reportedly operating a theft racket and travelling from another state to carry out the crimes.According to police sources, Shahrukh Hussain used to travel from Agra to Kalyan specifically to steal motorcycles. Investigators believe he targeted areas where bikes were parked outside residential buildings or public places with minimal security.After committing the thefts, the accused would reportedly transport or hide the stolen bikes, making it difficult for owners to trace them.
During the investigation, police managed to recover four stolen motorcycles from the accused’s possession. The recovery is expected to help authorities solve multiple bike theft cases reported in recent months.Officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused was working alone or as part of a larger vehicle theft network.
The arrest was made by the Kalyan Police, who had been monitoring theft complaints in the area. Officers are now questioning the accused to gather more details about other possible thefts and accomplices.Police have also appealed to residents to take precautions while parking vehicles, such as using proper locks and parking in secure areas, to reduce the risk of theft.
