A moment of panic gripped devotees and residents after a 2-foot-long venomous cobra was spotted within the premises of the Swami Samarth Math in Ambernath. The situation, however, was brought under control with a timely and professional rescue.
According to local reports, the cobra was seen moving within the Math premises, causing concern among people present in the area. Given the presence of devotees and nearby residential surroundings, the situation was potentially dangerous.
A local snake rescuer (Sarpamitra) was immediately alerted. Acting swiftly, the rescuer reached the spot and safely captured the cobra without harming it, ensuring the safety of both the public and the reptile.Thanks for the quick response, no injuries were reported. The snake was later released into a safe natural habitat, as per standard wildlife rescue practices.
Experts often highlight that snakes may enter human settlements, especially during seasonal changes or in search of food and shelter. Citizens are advised to avoid panic and immediately contact trained rescuers instead of attempting to handle such situations on their own.The incident ended on a positive note, showcasing how timely action and awareness can prevent potential danger while also protecting wildlife.
