Dombivli, April 5: Serious allegations of rule violations and unlawful activities have surfaced against the Vikrant (Sweet Dream) Orchestra Bar operating under the jurisdiction of the Tilak Nagar Police Station in Dombivli. The matter has triggered growing concern among local residents, who are demanding strict action to restore peace in the area.
According to complaints and recent reports, the establishment is allegedly functioning as a dance bar under the guise of an orchestra bar. Witnesses claim that bar girls are seen dancing openly on the floor, while customers reportedly shower money on them activities that are prohibited under current regulations.
Residents living nearby have expressed frustration over frequent disturbances linked to the bar. They allege that the area often witnesses loud arguments, verbal abuse, and even physical altercations late into the night. “The constant chaos has made it difficult for families to feel safe,” a local resident stated.
In addition to public nuisance, labor-related disputes have also been reported. Conflicts between customers and staff, including drivers, over billing issues have further escalated tensions at the location.

Taking cognizance of such incidents, the police have recently intensified action against multiple establishments in Dombivli. Cases have been registered against around 30 individuals, including owners and managers of bars such as Vikrant Palace and Sweet Dreams, for alleged violations of law and order.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has indicated a stricter stance on such issues. In early 2026, authorities announced plans to amend existing laws to ensure permanent cancellation of licenses for orchestra bars found repeatedly violating regulations.
The situation has prompted local citizens to call for immediate and decisive action against those responsible. Residents have urged authorities to enforce the law strictly and ensure that such establishments do not disrupt the safety and harmony of the community.
As of now, further investigation is underway, and officials are expected to take appropriate steps based on the findings.
