Bhopal : A reports on a recent incident in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, involving a woman accused of throwing meat near Jain temples and local shops.The incident occurred on February 26, 2026, in the old city locality of Bhopal, specifically in the Lohara (Iron) and Lakhera Bazaar areas.Local traders confronted a woman, reportedly wearing a burqa and blue gloves, after she was allegedly seen throwing meat pieces outside shops and near religious sites.In a viral video of the confrontation, the woman claimed she was associated with an NGO and was merely feeding stray dogs. She later apologized for the misunderstanding during initial police questioning.The incident sparked significant outrage among local traders and Hindu organizations, who claimed such acts had been occurring for nearly two months and were intended to hurt religious sentiments in a predominantly vegetarian-practicing community.

As of February 27, 2026, the Bhopal Police (Kotwali police station) have confirmed that they are investigating the matter.Police have received complaints from both the local traders/Hindu organizations and the woman.
