Ulhasnagar-In a major crackdown on counterfeit liquor operations, police under the jurisdiction of Vitthalwadi Police Station carried out a raid in Ulhasnagar-04, exposing an illegal foreign liquor production and sales unit.
The operation was conducted at Bungalow No. 1284, near Shriram Talkies, where authorities uncovered a setup involved in manufacturing and distributing fake imported liquor. Acting on specific inputs, the police team raided the premises and seized large quantities of illicit stock.
During the raid, one आरोपी, identified as Vijay Prem Vasita, was arrested on the spot. Officials confirmed that he was actively involved in the illegal production and sale of counterfeit foreign liquor.
Police recovered fake imported liquor and related materials with an estimated total value of ₹1,28,645. The seized stock is believed to have been intended for distribution across nearby areas.A case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway to trace the wider production and distribution network linked to the operation.

This action comes amid ongoing efforts by the State Excise Department and local police to curb the spread of counterfeit liquor networks in regions like Thane and Pune. Authorities have intensified surveillance and enforcement to prevent the circulation of such illegal and potentially harmful products.Officials have urged citizens to report suspicious activities related to liquor production or sale, emphasizing that strict action will continue against offenders.
