Holi Turns Tragic A 5-Year-Old Boy Suffering Severe Burns.

Koradi : An incident occurred on March 3, 2026, in the Koradi area (Aramshin, Ward No. 2) of Nagpur during Holi celebrations. According to police reports, four-year-old Om Harish Wange was playing with a spray bottle filled with paint or colored water when he accidentally sprayed his grandmother, Sindhu Thackeray (60). Enraged by this, she allegedly poured a bucket of boiling water which had been heated on a nearby fire for Holi rituals directly onto him. 

The child suffered severe burn injuries, estimated by doctors to be approximately 45% of his body, primarily below the waist.Om was rushed to a private hospital in Nagpur and is currently undergoing treatment; his condition has been reported as stable.Authorities have initiated the process of registering an offense against Thackeray under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for intentionally causing grievous hurt and child abuse.CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, showing the child in extreme pain and another woman rushing to pour cold water on him to ease the burns.
