Highway Horror: Truck Drags Car for Long Distance on Dabra–Gwalior Route

Gwalior : This viral video depicts a truck dragging a car for a significant distance on a highway, with recent reports indicating this specific incident occurred on the Dabra–Gwalior highway in Madhya Pradesh. The footage shows a speeding truck ramming into a car and dragging it for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Inside the car were three people, including an officer of the Special Armed Force (SAF), who were seen and heard screaming for help. The truck eventually halted near Bilaua after being chased by a witness on a motorcycle.While specific causes for this exact event are under investigation, similar incidents often stem from high-speed collisions where the truck driver may not initially realize a smaller vehicle is trapped in their front blind spot.

Large trucks have substantial blind spots directly in front of the cab; if a car is too close, it can be invisible to the driver.Due to their massive weight, trucks require much longer distances to stop than passenger cars. In some dragging incidents, drivers only stop once alerted by other motorists flashing lights or sounding horns.This event has sparked discussions regarding the need for better driver alertness and the potential for advanced safety features, like automatic emergency braking, to prevent such terrifying scenarios.
