Dombivali Viral Video of Migrant Worker Sparks Row Over Marathi Language, MNS Steps In.

A viral video from Dombivali has triggered a fresh controversy after a migrant worker was allegedly seen displaying arrogance and stating that he would not learn Marathi, the local language of Maharashtra.

The video, which has been widely circulated on social media, reportedly shows the worker engaged in an argument, during which he makes the controversial statement. The clip quickly gained traction, drawing strong reactions from locals and online users alike.

Following the video’s spread, members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) intervened in the matter. According to reports, party workers confronted the individual over his remarks and allegedly compelled him to apologize publicly.

The incident has once again brought the issue of “Marathi Asmita” (Marathi pride) into the spotlight. Many locals have expressed that those living and working in Maharashtra should respect and, at the very least, make an effort to understand and communicate in Marathi.

At the same time, some voices on social media have called for restraint, emphasizing mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Such incidents have raised concerns about increasing public confrontations over language and identity. While the importance of preserving regional culture remains significant, experts stress the need for dialogue and understanding rather than escalation.Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
