Mira-Bhayandar :A fresh report indicates a chain-snatching incident involving a woman occurred in Mira-Bhayandar East today, February 14, 2026. The perpetrator reportedly followed the victim inside a building before forcibly snatching the chain and fleeing. While the police are actively investigating this latest case, several similar incidents have recently plagued the Mira-Bhayandar area: Police recently solved a major case near Perfect Pitch Turf, where two men on a motorcycle used pepper spray to snatch a gold chain worth ₹1.14 lakh.Two suspects were apprehended for targeting a 72-year-old woman near Bhaktivedanta Hospital.they were caught attempting to flee on a train to Jodhpur. Two individuals from Gujarat were arrested for stealing gold chains worth ₹2.66 lakh from a shop in the Navghar area under the pretext of buying jewellery.A woman was recently captured on CCTV snatching a chain from a child’s neck at Kajupada Naka, Borivali, highlighting a spike in such thefts in the surrounding suburbs. Mira-Bhayandar Vasai-Virar have increased patrolling and are currently scanning CCTV footage to identify the suspect from today’s building-entry theft.
