Ambernath Police Busted Fake Call Center.

Ambernath : In a recent operation on February 24-25, 2026, the Ambernath West police dismantled a fraudulent call center that targeted American citizens under the guise of selling software.The fake call center was located in a business center—specifically the Globe Business Park on the Kalyan-Badlapur highway in Ambernath West. It was operating under the name Rudra Tech IT.The illegal operation was conducted from a business center in the Ambernath area of Thane district, Maharashtra.Employees used scripted dialogues to contact foreign nationals, primarily in the United States, offering software services.They extracted advance payments, often between $100 and $200, and subsequently blocked the victims.Five individuals were detained, including the alleged owner, identified as Kamlesh Sachwani.During a late-night raid that lasted until Wednesday morning, authorities seized electronic gadgets, including laptops, computers, and mobile phones.A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act, and the Indian Telegraph Act.

Conclusion-

This bust is part of a broader crackdown on cybercrime networks in the region, with similar operations reported in nearby areas like Palghar and Mumbai within the same week.
