Madurai :A disturbing case of animal cruelty has surfaced in Madurai, where a woman was caught on CCTV brutally attacking stray puppies on a roadside. The shocking footage has sparked outrage among animal lovers and the public on social media.

According to reports, CCTV footage shows the woman approaching a group of stray puppies and violently grabbing them before slamming them against the ground and a nearby wall. The cruel act resulted in the immediate death of two puppies, leaving others injured and terrified. The video of the incident quickly spread online, triggering widespread condemnation and calls for strict punishment against the accused.

Police identified the accused as Meenakshi. During the investigation, it was revealed that the woman allegedly committed the act to take revenge on her neighbour after a heated argument earlier that day.Reports suggest that she mistakenly believed the neighbour was caring for the puppies, which led her to target the animals in anger.Following the incident, a complaint was lodged by the Vice-President of People for Animals.
