Drivers claimed that these demands were causing significant traffic jams.In early 2024, approximately 40 traffic officials from the Mumbra division (which oversees parts of the Shilphata road) were transferred after a YouTuber filmed them allegedly accepting bribes from heavy vehicles.In 2022, a traffic policeman from Kalyan was suspended after a video of him demanding a bribe from an autorickshaw driver at Chakki Naka went viral.
