Ulhasnagar : The case that has come to light where a clever thief targeted the same vehicle three times, stealing from it each time. Surprisingly, the thief was caught on CCTV every single time. Despite that, the police haven’t been able to catch him yet. This incident happened in the Camp Four area under the Vitthalwadi police station. A battery was stolen in broad daylight from a vehicle parked outside a shop located between Venus Chowk and Lalchakki Chowk. According to information, Ravindranath Tripathi owns a shop called Shri Anjani Courier Service in front of Patel R Mart. This took place around 5:30 PM on Monday, February 23rd.An unknown thief targeted the car parked outside the shop. The accused broke the lock of the battery box, took out the battery, and escaped without fear.The entire incident was clearly captured on a nearby CCTV camera. The victim, Ravindra Tripathi, has filed a complaint at the Vitthalwadi police station regarding this. He claims that similar thefts have happened twice before. But the police only register an NCR and then wash their hands off without taking any serious action. Tripathi says the CCTV footage of the previous incidents is also available.
The accused had been handed over to the police. Despite this, no concrete steps have been taken to identify or arrest him. They claim that due to the police’s negligence, the thief has become more confident and is repeatedly targeting the same vehicle. The victim suspects that the same person may be behind all three incidents.They have urged the police administration to quickly identify and arrest the accused and take strict action to curb the rising thefts in the area. Now, it remains to be seen how promptly the police act in this case and How long does it take for a victim to get justice?
