A disturbing incident from Ambernath has once again raised serious concerns about public safety, after a 32-year-old man was brutally assaulted for allegedly refusing to serve beer.

The shocking attack took place on April 13 in the Greencity area of Ambernath East and was fully captured on CCTV cameras installed nearby. The footage reportedly shows a violent altercation escalating within minutes, leaving the victim severely injured.
The victim, identified as Smitesh Suresh Patil (32), was present near a beer shop when the incident occurred.
What Led to the Assault?
According to initial reports, the dispute began when the accused identified as Mahesh Suryavanshi and Mangesh (full identity under verification) allegedly demanded beer. When Smitesh refused or was unable to serve them, an argument broke out.What followed was a shocking act of violence.
In a fit of anger, the accused allegedly assaulted Smitesh mercilessly in front of the shop, ignoring the presence of other people and CCTV cameras.

Following the incident, a case has been registered at Shivajinagar Police Station against the two accused.Police officials are currently examining CCTV footage and recording witness statements to build a strong case. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved.
