A disturbing incident of vandalism and intimidation was reported on March 23, 2026, from Kadwai village in Chiplun district of Ratnagiri district, creating concern among local residents.
According to initial reports, an unidentified individual allegedly went on a rampage, damaging a parked car using a sword and an iron rod. The accused not only caused significant damage to the vehicle but also reportedly threatened an elderly woman present at the scene. The woman was warned against intervening, leaving her frightened and shaken.
The incident is said to have occurred in a public area, raising serious questions about safety and law enforcement presence in the locality. Locals expressed fear following the violent outburst, with many demanding strict action against the accused.
Following the complaint, a case has been officially registered at the Sangameshwar Police Station. Police have begun an investigation and are working to identify and apprehend the accused.
